Hillary Davidson

Wildcats, Zona Zoo, classes, lecture halls, professors, free time, traditions, Greek life, clubs, mall events, friends, the union, Starbucks, all-nighters, dorms, CatCards..Wow! The University of Arizona has a lot to offer its students, but I want to make even more resources available! My name is Hillary Davidson and I am running to become one of your next ASUA Senators. I am a Pre-Business freshman here at the University of Arizona. As a freshman I am involved in organizations such as Freshman Class Council, and Chi Omega serving as the Panhellenic Affairs Assistant. I also have immersed myself in the many UA traditions with my involvement and selection to become a part of the A-Day court.

As an ASUA Senator, I will focus on two areas, community service and New Student Orientation. I will expand awareness and opportunities for U of A students to serve alongside the Tucson Community. One example is creating a new mentoring program, the purpose would be to excite and encourage the option of college to the students of Tucson High Schools. Once paired up with a UA student the child will get the opportunity to participate in a variety of hands on events to explore different majors and student life in general such as dorm tours, footballs games, ect. The child will get a well rounded view of college and all that it has to offer, while the UA student will get the chance to make a difference in a young students life.

I also plan to reform New Student Orientation. This is a UA student’s first impression of our wonderful school. As these new Wildcats learn about all the University of Arizona has to offer I want them to be excited and ready to begin their wonderful experience of college. I will make sure to reform and create new programs centered around the student. By the end of their experience they should be well informed about all of the different opportunities the U of A has to offer.

I hope to represent all of the University of Arizona as one of your next ASUA Senators. Go Cats!
